Cardamine pratensis produces lilac blooms with intricate veins, just as the Spring cuckoo arrives back in Britain - hence the common name Cuckoo Flower.Cardamine pratensis is often found growing in damp grassland and meadows throughout the UK.In recent years, natural wildflower planting has become increasingly popular, and can be seen in the most prestigious RHS show gardens. No garden is too small for a wildlife area, where you can host insects, birds, and other wildlife. Providing a fantastic feast of seeds, leaves, nectar, and pollen, whilst creating a safe habitat as a warm, cool or dry shelter. Cardamine pratensis matures to a height of approximately 40cm, and spreading to 30cm, and does best in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade. A fully hardy annual, seed can easily be collected and sown for the following year.
