Tell Me More...
Bring a look and feel of the exotic to a wall, fence, or pergola with the show stopping Campsis taglianbuana Madame Galen. This rapidly-growing climber bears exquisite clusters of trumpet shaped blooms in vibrant tones of fiery orange from August to September which glow spectacularly against its dense, dark green pinnate leaves. Lush and tropical in appearance, this shrub is frost-hardy to -10 and will thrive on any moist well-draining soil type. Once established in a sunny spot, it simply requires pruning of the side-shoots in early spring to 3 or 4 buds.Allow plenty of space for this alluring climber, also known as the trumpet vine, to show off and dazzle its unusual beauty as it can eventually span 6m wide, and reach dizzy heights of 10m, spreading and self-clinging by aerial roots. Some initial training of shoots to a trellis or framework in the early stages is recommended.
