Tell Me More...
Quickly climbing to cover a wall, Campsis capreolata Tangerine Beauty is a fast-growing vine which will climb through a trellis or mature tree so long as there is sufficient sunlight, using its self-clinging arial roots. An abundance of large, showy, trumpet-shaped blooms in shades of orange with yellow throats, are held in clusters from May to September and give this plant it's common name, Trumpet Creeper.Native to woodland in China and North America, a cut stem shows a marking that resembles the Greek cross which is why it is sometimes known as the Cross Vine.Campsis capreolata Tangerine Beauty prefers to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade with the roots in shade. Reaching a height of 8m, this non-invasive beauty is happy to be cut back to keep to size. Although hardy, Campsis capreolata would appreciate shelter from the coldest winter winds.
