Producing hundreds of frilly, fully double blooms each year, Calibrachoa ‘Calita Double Apricot’ will naturally spill over the side of containers, hanging baskets and window boxes. The fantastic, vibrant, burnt-orange blooms are small yet highly abundant, each one resembling a miniature double petunia. Almost covering the lush, green, evergreen foliage, they are ‘self-cleaning’, meaning that spent blooms naturally shed, falling to the ground to be easily swept up, with no fiddly deadheading required. Calibrachoa ‘Calita Double Apricot’ is best grown in moist, loam or sandy, but well-draining soil in full sun, with a south or west facing aspect. Reaching a height and spread of around 30cm, this tender perennial is usually treated as an annual in the UK, but alternatively, container grown plants may be overwintered in a frost-free environment like a conservatory or greenhouse, to be enjoyed in subsequent years.
