Tell Me More...
Calamagrostis x acutiflora Overdam is a stunning, handsome, impressive variegated ornamental grass. This particular grass adds a wealth of rich foliage, with additional floral curiosity, enhancing your garden for an extended period throughout the year. An abundance of green and white striped leaves hold towering, upright stems of pink downy plumes from May through to the autumn, offering up to six months of blooming joy. Ideal for growing in borders and beds where it stands proud above your other plants. ‘Overdam’ brings quality and movement when the gentle summers breezes drift gently across the garden… and you can hear the soothing rustling of the foliage. Great for planting in drifts or for combining with late flowering perennials such as Rudbeckia and Helenium, where the foliage will break up and complement the fiery colours of the flowers. Prefers to be planted in a fertile, moist but well-draining soil in full sun or part shade. Hardy herbaceous perennial. Height 1.2m. Spread 60c
