This stylish, heart shaped trowel is both contemporary and versatile in equal measure. Made by Burgon & Ball and endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society – two prestigious organisations in themselves. The wide head of Burgon & Ball Ground-breaker Trowel makes light work of moving soil, while the sharpened, pointed tip slices through the most challenging ground with ease. The handle is made from FSC-certified hardwood, to give you the most comfortable grip and has a strong leather hanging cord for easy storage. A stainless-steel head gives you a clean movement through the soil and is rust resistant. A basic form of what we know today as a trowel, has been around since the neolithic age when the shoulder blade of a large animal would have been used to move rocks and soil or to dig. Since the 1600's, when gardening became more of an interest, the trowel we know today has evolved and now resembles a small spade.
