A treat for your garden, and the pollinators who will be drawn to it, Buddleja davidii Grand Cascade produces a sweetly scented show of blooms in late summer and early autumn.Fountains of enormous floral panicles are packed with tiny flowers in a beautiful shade of mauve, each with a vibrant orange heart packed with nectar. Known as the Butterfly Bush, and originating from Asia, Buddleja are renowned for attracting butterflies, as well as bees and hoverflies. This impressive cultivar forms an attractive, mounded shape, up to 2m in height and 2.5m in width creating wonderful presence in the garden, especially when overflowing with blooms. Allow plenty of space for this Buddleja to mature and spread.Buddleja are extremely hardy and should be pruned back in March as they flower on new growth.Plant in moist, well-drained soil in a sunny location. Rarely bothered by pests and diseases, Buddleja are also drought tolerant once established.
