Tell Me More...
Flowering long and hard from spring until autumn, Bidens ferulifolia 'Taka Tuka Red Yellow Centre' produces an abundance of daisy-like flowers; golden yellow at the centre, with rusty red tips. Plants are gently trailing in habit, their blooms and attractive dark green, ferny foliage tumbling beautifully from containers, hanging baskets, window boxes and over walls. Alternatively, these bidens can be used to great effect as ground cover in a sunny spot. Deriving from a species found in Mexico, the Taka Tuka series is tolerant of heat, wind, and drought. Tough, vigorous, and undemanding. The perfect summer bedding plant! Prefers moist, well-draining soil in full sun. H&S: 60cm x 45cm. Half-hardy perennial, often grown as an annual in the UK. Container grown plants can be overwintered indoors for continued perennial growth (a cool greenhouse or conservatory is ideal).
