Tell Me More...
Uplifting and energising, Bidens ferulifolia 'Brazen Rising Sun' is a new star for your borders and containers. An abundance of wiry stems each hold a single, rounded bud from June to October. Opening to reveal, daisy-like blooms with orange-red petals surrounding a burst of yellow, creating a warming glow. Related to Mexican 'Fern-leaved Beggar Ticks', which is a nectar-rich wildflower, you can be sure pollinators will make a beeline to these fantastic blooms. Each plant reaches around 30cm in height and spreads to around 60cm - filling a container and giving valuable weed-suppressing groundcover while the stems make an excellent addition to your indoor floral arrangements.Drought and heat tolerant, Bidens ferulifolia 'Brazen Rising Sun' has been classified as a half-hardy annual by the RHS, so will not tolerate temperatures below -5 C. Plant in well-drained soil of any type which benefits from full sun or partial shade.
