Tell Me More...
Bright and breezy, easy-going Bidens ferulifolia 'Brazen Happy Sun' is sure to make you smile, whatever the weather.Prepare to be dazzled as for up to 6 months. Your borders and containers will be ablaze with bright, dazzling blooms. So floriferous, the neat mounds of upright foliage, up to 30cm tall, become covered with bold, yellow daisy-like blooms, the layers of petals surrounding a darker yellow eye. Each plant spreads to around 60cm, filling a container and giving valuable weed-suppressing groundcover while the stems make an excellent addition to your indoor floral arrangements.A distant cousin of 'Fern-leaved Beggarticks' which originated from Mexico - a wonderful nectar-rich wildflower, pollinators will make a beeline to the fantastic blooms. Drought and heat tolerant, Bidens ferulifolia 'Brazen Happy Sun' has been classified as a half-hardy annual by the RHS so will not tolerate temperatures below -5 C. They prefer to be grown in well-drained soil of any type which benefits from full sun or partial shade.
