A fantastic lucky streakYou won't need to take a chance with Bidens ferulifolia 'Brazen Imperial Luck'. A happy-go-lucky chap with an easy-going nature, a summer and autumn of fantastic colour is on the cards.Neat mounds of pretty, ferny foliage become covered with small, rounded buds from June to October. Each opening to reveal yellow petals with orange-brown tips, in a daisy-like flower, creating the illusion of a central circle. Reaching 30cm tall and up to 60cm wide, the foliage creates valuable weed-suppressing groundcover, while bees and other pollinators will visit for a treat.Happy in baskets, borders and containers, the stems add an unusual element to small posies or cut flower arrangements for your home.Related to a distant cousin named 'Fern-leaved Beggar Ticks' which originated from Mexico, Bidens ferulifolia 'Brazen Imperial Luck' has been classified as a half-hardy annual by the RHS so will not tolerate temperatures below -5 C. Drought tolerant, preferring to be grown in well-drained soil in a sunny spot.
