With warm and glowing curvaceous petals in shades of orange and gold, it’s not just the bees who will be happy with the generous six months of blooms from Bidens ferulifolia 'Bee Happy Double Orange'! The joyous daisy like flowers, with intriguing twirls to the centre, emerge in May and last through to October time. All you need to do is deadhead the spent flowers to keep them producing the button-like buds from which the flowers burst forth. Ideal for an herbaceous border, container or even a generously sized hanging basket. Bidens ferulifolia 'Bee Happy Double Orange' reaches around 30cm tall, with a spread of around 60cm. Foliage is feathery looking and emerges in April, adding a lace-like foil to the flowers, forming neat mounds of weed-suppressing groundcover as it grows. Plants are drought tolerant once established and like a spot in well-drained soil of any type. A half-hardy (H3) perennial which is often grown as annual bedding, position in full sun or partial shade for best results.
