An exciting new begonia for 2024 which will bring you masses of light, candy pink blooms from June to October. Begonia x hiemalis ‘Solenia Light Pink’ also produces verdant foliage, often with marbled markings, which emerges in April and is retained through to October. An opulent beauty which brings you cascading pink waterfalls of flowers, descending around 20cm, along with a decorative, mound-forming habit – perfect for baskets, window boxes and containers. A hybrid variety of begonia with increased tolerance of both sun and wind along with a stronger, multi-branching habit for more flowers on sturdier stems. Flowers resemble miniature roses and are a national favourite for their abundant and colourful nature.
Your Begonia x hiemalis ‘Solenia Light Pink’ prefers any moist, well-drained soil except chalky in full sun or partial shade. As a tender, bulbous perennial this corm will need protection from frost over winter in a cool, dry spot. Plants mature to a height and spread of 30cm
