Begonia x hiemalis ‘Solenia Chocolate Orange’ also stands out for its dark, chocolatey foliage with hints of green that emerges in April and is retained through to October. This opulent beauty has cascading waterfall of flowers, descending around 20cm, and a decorative, mound-forming habit – perfect for baskets, window boxes and containers.
This is a hybrid begonia reaching a height and spread of 30cm and has an increased tolerance of both sun and wind built in. With its stronger, multi-branching habit you will get more flowers on sturdier stems - less inclined to snap off. Flowers themselves look like miniature roses and are a national favourite for their abundant and colourful nature.
