Tell Me More...
An exciting new begonia which brings you continuous, intense and generous flowers from June to October. The blooms of Begonia x hiemalis ‘Solenia Apricot’ cascade over decorous, rippled leaves with hints of red and intriguingly marked veins. This is a hybrid begonia which has an increased tolerance of both sun and wind built-in to extend the areas of the garden where these beauties will thrive. With a stronger, multi-branching habit you will get more flowers on sturdier stems - less inclined to snap off. Flowers themselves look like miniature roses and are a national favourite for baskets and containers on a patio, balcony or table where they will reach a height and spread of 30cm, trailing to about 20cm. Your Begonia x hiemalis ‘Solenia Apricot’ prefers any moist, well-drained soil except chalk in full sun or partial shade. As a tender, bulbous perennials this corm will need protection from frost over winter in a cool, dry spot.
