Brighten up your garden with 'On Top Sunset Shades' - a stunning begonia with vibrant blooms in captivating colours which will last from June through to October. Begonia tuberhybrida ‘On Top Sunset Shades’ is second to none for five months of warming yellow, pink and orange generous double blooms poised above dark green, deeply veined foliage which is retained from March until the first frosts. At first blooms are upright and situated on top of the foliage, then, as your plant matures, they will gently arch to create a graceful bundle of large, exquisitely marked flowers. The confection of colour from Begonia tuberhybrida ‘On Top Sunset Shades’ is well-suited to baskets, containers and open ground where its vigorous habit can be fully appreciated. Often grown as an annual in the UK, these sub-tropical, herbaceous perennials do best in moist, well drained soil of any type except chalk. They like a neutral or acidic pH and are happy in full sun or partial shade with any aspect other than north facing. A tender, cormous perennial growing to a height and spread of 40cm which, if protected over winter, will flower again the following year.
