Gently trailing, Begonia x tuberhybrida 'Illumination Rose' creates an impressive waterfall of rosy-pink blooms from June to October. Fabulously romantic, the pendulous, ruffled blousy blooms in shades of pink sometimes reach up to 10cm across. Begonia ‘Illumination’ have become one of the UK’s most popular container plants and there have been continual improvements from the growers on colour, increased pendulous blooms, and even better weather resistance. These Begonias will withstand a wet summer, as masses of large, beautifully blousy blooms gently cascade down to around 60cm almost covering the bushy, green foliage. Begonia x tuberhybrida 'Illumination Rose' prefers to be grown in any loam or sandy, well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded position, in any aspect, reaching a height and spread of approximately 20-30cm. A tender tuberous perennial, which will require protection from frost and excessive winter wet.
