Tell Me More...
A must-have plant for summer-long colour, award winning Rudbeckia fulg. Goldsturm will bloom from early summer until well into autumn. Straight stems up to 60cm tall carry the large yellow daisy-like blooms which have a velvet brown button at the centre. The golden petals are reflexed back helping this plant earn its common name - the 'cone flower'.Rudbeckia fulg. Goldsturm grows best in full sun, and in fertile soil which is moist and well-drained. Place supports around your plants early in the year to support their upright stems in the event of heavy rain or strong winds. Add some organic matter at the time of planting and prune your plants back to almost ground level when they have finished flowering. This Rudbeckia is slightly more compact than some of the other cultivars and is perfectly placed in the centre of a border where it will add a sunny glow. Fabulous when grown together with Ornamental grasses, looking especially good on a golden sunny evening or bright autumn morning.
