Demure flowers with peppered, pincushion interiors surround decorous bracts from June to September. Serene Astrantia Collection offers dusky hues, accented by flashes of richer colours which will light up containers, open ground and a vase for the home. A cottage garden favourite, astrantia are also well suited to modern planting schemes and look particularly good in wildlife gardens or at the edge of a woodland area.Sumptuous Astrantia Collection comprises: major 'Primadonna' with reddish-pink blooms and a height of 75cm, spreading to 60cm; major subsp. involucrata major 'Shaggy' long, green-tipped blooms which reach 75cm tall and spread to 40cm; and major 'Pink Pride' which reaches 60cm tall and spreads to 45cm.All plants in this collection prefer moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Plants are fully hardy, with the exception of 'Primadonna' which is hardy. Herbaceous perennials which die back below ground over winter and return the following spring.
