Tell Me More...
Astilbe x rosea ‘Peach Blossom’ is a relatively compact variety of this popular shade-loving perennial, perfect for the front of your shady border or the edge of a woodland path. Delicate feathery spires are borne in summer on stems up to 60cm tall in a gorgeous shade of blush pink - highly sought after by florists and gardeners alike. They make wonderful cut flowers, adding height and textured plumes of colour to the vase, just as they do in the garden.Plant Astilbe x rosea ‘Peach Blossom’ in any fertile soil except sand or chalk, which is moist and well-drained in a position with full or dappled shade, where this beautiful plant can shine. Clumps can be divided after 3-4 years when they have reached an eventual spread of 50-60cm to maintain vigour. Remove faded foliage in spring to provide light for newly emerging shoots and mulch the base of your plants in autumn with leaf mould. Fully hardy perennial.
