Tell Me More...
Artemisia ludoviciana 'Silver Queen' is native to North America where it was widely used by Native Americans as a medicine, a spice and to cure animal skins. A fantastic way to brighten your garden with a woolly display of greyish white, deeply toothed foliage which becomes greener as the leaves mature. Shimmering spires of foliage stretch upwards from this bushy, clump-forming plant and foliage is aromatic - with a subtle, sage-like fragrance released when plants are brushed past or pressed.Artemisia ludoviciana 'Silver Queen' makes a striking addition to the front of a border or a patio container with its shimmering, slender leaves acting as the perfect foil for other perennials. In August and September, plumes of yellow brown blooms may appear, however, it is the foliage which remains the star attraction both inside and outside your home.Artemisia ludoviciana 'Silver Queen' prefers a spot in full sun with well-drained soil of any type (except heavy clay). Drought tolerant once established plants mature to a height of 75cm and spread to 60cm. A semi-evergreen, hardy perennial.
