Tell Me More...
Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Dreameria Dream Clouds’ pops up creamy-white spherical flowerheads from May to September over a tufted bed of grassy foliage. Known as ‘Thrift’, Armeria are resilient, small evergreen perennials which are popular for coastal, rockery and gravel gardens. They also look fabulous in a contemporary scheme lining a pathway or generously filling containers. A backdrop of dark foliage plants helps Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Dreameria Dream Clouds’ to shine and show off its dainty drumstick blooms. Position in full sun in any aspect other than north facing and plant in well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Once established, plants are drought and heat tolerant, maturing to a spread of 20cm and height of 30cm over 2-5 years. Deadhead regularly to encourage a succession of fresh blooms and avoid overwatering container grown plants. Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Dreameria Dream Clouds’ is best planted in spring for flowers in the first year. Propagate by semi-ripe basal cuttings, or by division in early spring. Loved by butterflies and bees, these illuminating white blooms add heaps of shape and texture to the front of a border or a pot.
