Dramatic and eye-catching fiery hues from a garden temptress With a name which means ‘favour’ and ‘grace’ Arctotis ‘Hannah’ will bring this in swathes to your pots, rockeries and borders commencing in mid-summer and lasting through to the first frosts. Velvety looking, warming orange red tones will light up the garden, with colours enhanced by the silvery grey foliage and stems beneath. Native to South Africa, flowers reach up to 8cm across, and are produced in abundance as long as you continue to deadhead the faded flowers. Stems are tall and strong enough to be cut for a vase, allowing you to enjoy the warming tones inside your home. Arctotis ‘Hannah’ is a tender, herbaceous perennial which reaches a height and spread of 30-40cm. Plants will need protection once temperatures dip continually below 1-5°C, because of this they are frequently grown as annual bedding in the UK.
