Richly resonant, delightful doublesThe royalty of hanging basket plants, Ivy-leaved Pelargonium are so called because they have the characteristic trailing form of ivy. The foliage is glossy and the plants trail, spilling from hanging baskets, tall planters or over a garden wall where the attractive, five-lobed foliage comes into its own. Often seen planted on the balconies of charming chalets in the alps, trailing from wooden window boxes and pictured on postcards.Delicate ivy-leaved geraniums (or pelargoniums) add a touch of femininity and elegance to any space. The beautiful and bountiful blooms are held in umbel-shaped clusters and create cascades of vibrant colour, a wealth of pretty blooms from June to September, and deadheading is not required. The fast growth often sees them being treated as an annual although they are a half-hardy perennial, with a long flowering period. Plant Pelargonium in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. H: 30cm. S: 35cm..
