Tell Me More...
A long-flowering, richly coloured antirrhinum which produces flowers from June right through to October. Providing you deadhead Antirrhinum 'Pretty in Pink' regularly you will have almost continuous displays in pots, rockeries and borders - where these pretty flowers will be awash with bees and other pollinators who pop in for a nectar-rich feast. Furthermore, flowers make a real impact in floral displays too - with up to 14 days of life in a vase. The plant's common name, Snapdragon, is said to originate from flowers having their throats squeezed - an act which causes the 'mouth' of the flower to snap open like a dragon's mouth.Antirrhinum 'Pretty in Pink' prefers to be planted in moist, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun or partial shade. A half-hardy, herbaceous perennial which will require winter protection when temperatures fall below zero. Matures to a height of around 60cm with a spread of 75cm.
