Tell Me More...
With large, snout-shaped flowers, often said to resemble the mouth of a dragon, it is no surprise that they're more commonly known as Snapdragon. Antirrhinum antirinca are deliciously scented, half-hardy annuals that can be seen displaying oodles of beautiful bicoloured blooms from June to October. These upright plants are brilliant for cutting and drying; the unique flower shape really stands out in an arrangement and the warm mix of red and orange will really brighten your space.Antirrhinums prefer to be planted in well-drained soil in full sun. They do not react well to wet ground, so if you're aware of heavy soil conditions, we recommend adding a little grit or coarse organic material before planting. Once planted, feed and water your snapdragons until they are fully established. During summer, deadhead any faded flowers to encourage the production of more beautiful blooms.
