Here are your bright yellow Snapdragons which will uplift your borders and containers.
Antirrhinum antirinca are fabulously fragrant, half-hardy annuals that enjoy a lovely long flowering season. From early summer to mid-autumn, this floriferous beauty will produce beautiful bicoloured blooms. The large, snout-shaped flowers, often said to resemble the mouth of a dragon, sit atop vibrant green foliage, looking phenomenal when cut for flower arrangements. The flowers last well in a vase and will attract lots of our pollinator pals throughout summer.
Antirrhinums will grow most successfully in well-drained soil in full sun. They do not react well to wet ground, so if you’re aware of heavy soil conditions, try adding grit or coarse organic material before planting. Once planted, be sure to feed and water your snapdragons until they are fully established. You may need to deadhead any faded flowers during summer to encourage the production of more blooms.
