Commonly known as Snapdragon, Antirrhinum antirinca are splendidly scented, half-hardy annuals that enjoy a long flowering season. This floriferous vision will be showing off its beautiful bicoloured blooms from June to October. Large, snout-shaped flowers, often said to resemble the mouth of a dragon, sit atop vibrant green foliage, looking outstanding in borders or containers. These upright plants are also ideal for cutting and drying; the unique flower shape looks delightful when arranged in a vase and you can bring the sumptuous scent into your home.
Antirrhinum antirinca Rose prefers to be planted in well-drained soil in full sun. They do not react well to wet ground, so if you’re aware of heavy soil conditions, add a little grit or coarse organic material before planting. Once planted, feed and water your snapdragons until they are fully established. Throughout summer, deadhead faded flowers to encourage the production of more beautiful blooms.
