Tell Me More...
The ruffled radiance of Anemone x hybrida ‘Garden Breeze Whirlwind Pink' is sure to catch your attention as its flowers sway on seasonal breezes from August to October. With golden yellow stamen creating a regal crown to each bloom these pretty princesses are perfect for a border, rockery or strategically placed container. Open, semi-double blooms are a rich source of pollen for visiting pollinators and cut stems look radiant in a vase for indoors. Beneficially resistant to garden pests these are easy-going plants which will naturalise and spread over time. Interestingly, the word anemone means 'daughter of the wind' in ancient Greek. Today these beautiful blooms are commonly called Windflower, perhaps because their slender stems are robust enough to withstand even the strongest winds. Anemone x hybrida ‘Garden Breeze Whirlwind Pink' will reach a height of up to 1m, spreading to 70cm. A hardy (H4), herbaceous perennial which likes a spot in full sun or partial shade of any aspect. Plant in moist, well-drained soil of any type.
