Tell Me More...
Anemone x hybrida Garden Breeze Rosy Red' is a relatively compact variety which is perfect for the mid-tier of a border or a strategically placed container. The open, semi-double flowers emerge from August to October providing sustenance to bees and other pollinators and lending animated, swaying interest to your planting. Stems can also be cut for a vase indoors, where the deep magenta hues, accompanied by the golden interior, will illuminate your home. Flowers are held over maple-like, verdant foliage which merges in March and is retained until November for attractive, gap-filling interest. Plants are beneficially resistant to garden pests. The word anemone is said to mean 'daughter of the wind' in ancient Greek and today these beautiful blooms are commonly called Windflower. Perhaps because their slender stems are surprisingly strong and able to withstand even the fiercest of winds. Anemone x hybrida Garden Breeze Rosy Red' will reach a height of up to 80cm, spreading to 40cm. A hardy (H4), herbaceous perennial which likes a spot in full sun or partial shade of any aspect. Plant in moist, well-drained soil of any type.
