Befittingly named new arrival for 2024, Anemone coronaria ‘The Bride’ comes adorned with white splendour to offer simple, stylish flowers from April to May each year. Perfect for planting to the front of a border, drifting through a rockery or in a strategically placed container, flowers grow up to 30cm tall, with an individual spread of around 20cm. Stems can even be cut for a vase inside your home, where they will last up to 10 days. Plant your Anemone coronaria ‘The Bride’ in any well drained soil which is loam or sand based and provide with full sun for best results. In the right conditions plants will eagerly naturalise to bring you more flowers each year with multiple stems emerging from a single bulb. Foliage is ferny and generous, lasting from March through to July for up to 5 months of gap-filling, ground covering interest. A hardy (H5), bulbous perennial which does not need additional winter protection throughout most of the UK if planted in the ground.
