Tell Me More...
Exuberant new arrival for 2024 with bright, bountiful flowers held on multiple stems which emerge from each bulb. The colour of Anemone coronaria ‘Sylphide is second to none, with double, velvety, rose-pink petals held aloft on strong stems from April to May each year. Flowers each have an intriguing, black centre and pronounced stamen which attract not only pollinators but many admiring glances too. Bulbs will eagerly spread in the right conditions to give you more and more blooms each year held above ferny, verdant foliage which is retained from March through to July.Plant your Anemone coronaria ‘Sylphide’ in any loam or sandy based, well-drained soil. Position in full sun for best results and your anemone will reach a height of 30cm, with an individual spread of up to 20cm. As a hardy (H5), bulbous perennial no additional winter protection should be required throughout most of the UK.
