Originating in Crete Anemone coronaria Bicolor is a beautiful flower designed to enhance any border or container. Each plant bears cup-shaped blooms which add interest through colour. The white petals are stamped with a red ring and a velvety black centre creating a bloom which will bring cheer to any garden. Also known as poppy-flowered anemone 'Bicolor' these hardy perennials naturalise easily in the garden and require little maintenance. These short anemones are perfect for the front or centre of a border or as a statement plant in a pretty container. Grown from corms these flowers are planted in June or July for early flowering in February or March. Bicolor blooms prefer sun in a sheltered spot in well-drained soils.
