New for 2024, the showstopping ‘Annabelle Hydrangea Duo’ are quite a sight to behold as huge flowerheads, up to 30cm across are formed by a myriad of smaller, colour-changing blooms.
Flowering on new wood, unlike many other hydrangeas, flowers are produced even after hard pruning or harsh winters. The robust mophead clusters of blooms are held on strong stems over verdant, bushy, deciduous foliage, and are perfect for containers on patios and balconies as well as herbaceous borders.
Loved by florists the flowering stems make an incredible, eye-catching and long-lasting addition to indoor displays, whether they are freshly cut or have been dried.
Your ‘Hydrangea Annabelle Duo’ collection comprises; ‘Pink Annabelle’ – blooms emerge hot pink and slowly mature to soft baby pink; and ‘Ruby Annabelle’ - jewel-like hues of ruby-carmine pink.
The ‘Annabelle Hydrangea Duo’ prefers moist, well-drained acidic to neutral soil of any kind except heavy clay. Position in full sun or partial shade and these hardy (H6) deciduous shrubs will reach a height and spread of 1.2-1.5m.
