Drought tolerant African daisies, Arctotis are some of the most floriferous plants we know. A myriad of daisy-like blooms are held on stems high above neat mounds of pretty, silvery foliage. Take a peek beneath the silvery groundcover and you will see many more little buds, curled up, ready to unfurl, straighten and reach upwards, to open in the sunshine.Your collection comprises; 'Flame' AGM - large, flamboyant, solitary bright orange flowers up to 8cm wide on long thick stems, height 50cm; 'Wine' - crisp, silvery pink flowers up to 8cm across, with yellow centres, are produced in abundance, height 50cm; and 'Hope' - a profusion of white, daisy-like blooms with yellow central band and brown centres, height 30cm. Florists will delight with these bright additions to indoor arrangements, and local pollinators will visit your garden for weeks on end for a treat. Arctotis prefer to be grown in well-drained soil in a sunny spot, although part shade can be tolerated. Reaching a spread of 30cm, Arctotis are tender perennials with a RHS hardiness rating of H2, that will need protection as temperatures drop below 1-5 C.
