Tell Me More...
An unusual new arrival for 2024 with exciting and zingy colours. Expanding the range of this popular garden favourite, Alstroemeria ‘Majestic Marcé’ is an elegant, mid-height variety - perfect woven through the borders or given pride of place in a container. The showy, funnel-shaped flowers have exotic looking speckled interiors to accompany each creamy yellow throat; almost guaranteed to get them noticed in the garden and when picked for a vase inside your home. Alstroemeria can be relied upon to flower long and hard commencing in June and continuing through to mid-autumn. They make excellent cut flowers and are much-loved by florists for their extravagant looks alongside an impressive vase-life. Our top tip is to pull stems (rather than cut) when harvesting, as this will promote your plant to produce even more flower stems. Alstroemeria ‘Majestic Marcé’ prefers a spot in moist, fertile, well-drained soil of any kind. Position this hardy, herbaceous perennial in full sun or partial shade and it will mature to a height of 90cm and spread of 50cm.
