A spectacular collection of Symphyotrichums, more commonly known as Asters, that will provide your garden with an abundance of rich, striking colour and flowers at a time of year when other plants are beginning to fade. From August through to November, an abundance of daisy-like blooms with contrasting golden yellow centres appears on strong stems, creating colourful mounds that are perfect for filling gaps in mixed herbaceous borders, beds, or for planting in containers. Loved by bees and butterflies, they will provide the pollinators with a welcome late source of nectar whilst other plants have died back for the winter. Perfect for growing alongside other late-flowering perennials such as Rudbeckias, Heleniums, Crocosmia or among ornamental grasses to create a colourful and interesting display. Fully hardy perennials, they are best planted in a position of sun or partial shade and are unfussy on soil conditions, making them easy to grow and low maintenance.
