Tell Me More...
Romantic hues from this tall, bushy beauty with grey-green, fuzzy, lobed leaves which emerge in April and last through to October. Alcea x kitaibela 'Parkallee' is a new and exciting plant which bears hollyhock-like flowers with sensual, creamy-pink hues from mid-summer through to mid-autumn. Often referred to as a shrubby hollyhock, plants have excellent resistance to the 'rust'; something which blights its near relatives. Long, strong stems produce prolific blooms in perfect pastels which make a fabulous inclusion is vases and floral displays. Furthermore, nectar-rich blooms are a draw for pollinators and other wildlife. Plants will thrive either in open ground or in large containers and make a beautiful inclusion to the back of a border where you can make the most of their statuesque form.Alcea x kitaibela 'Parkallee' prefers moist, well-drained soil with a south or west facing aspect in full sun. A hardy, herbaceous perennial which reaches up to 2.5m in height with a spread of 1.2m.
