Tell Me More...
One of the darkest blooms in the Everpanthus family, Agapanthus 'Midnight Sky' boasts sultry, midnight blue buds which open to trumpet-shaped blooms in almost spherical clusters. A favourite with florists, flowers add a strong, linear appeal and dramatic globe-like flowerheads to vases and bouquets in colours which are so rich they are guaranteed to be noticed. The 'Everpanthus' family of Agapanthus is the result of new breeding, which has given a much longer flowering season, with many more flowerheads of fuller, voluptuous blooms. The glossy evergreen, strap-shaped foliage remains neat, giving year-round verdancy and interest. Plants grow to around 50cm height and spread, making 'Everpanthus' perfect in both borders and containers.Agapanthus Everpanthus 'Midnight Sky' has been given an RHS hardiness rating of H5, meaning protection will only be required if temperatures dip below -15 C. Agapanthus are drought tolerant once established and prefer to be grown in well-drained soil in full sun.
