Adorning Colchicum Collection brings a cluster of double and single blooms in subtle hues for a ground-covering, naturalising carpet in autumn each year. Also often referred to by their common name, Naked Ladies, because the flowers are borne without foliage and sometimes called autumn crocus although not related. Flowers appear, as if by magic, in September and October, blanketing areas as they naturalise. Foliage then follows, months later, in spring.Adorning Colchicum Collection comprises: autumnale 'Pleniflorum' - a new variety with rose-pink double flowers; AGM holding variety, 'Waterlily' - with fantastic lilac-pink double blooms closely resembling its namesake; and autumnale 'Alboplenum' - simple flowers in soft white with glorious golden stamen.Plant these special bulbs under shrubs and trees or at border edges for a dainty and delicate visual treat and prepare to be surprised as flowers tend to appear unexpectedly. All prefer moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Hardy, bulbous perennials with a height and spread of 15-20cm.
