Tell Me More...
Admirable Allium senescens Collection brings together three different cultivars of this reliable species to provide provide you with soft, pink flowers all summer long. This coupled with an interesting range of foliage will surely be a hit! Admirable Allium senescens Collection encompasses masses of rose-purple globes which create strong, bright blocks of colour. This effect is particularly striking when bulbs are planted in generous groups or drifts. The short, densely packed, strap-shaped leaves cover the lower half (which can be sparse and untidy in other species) to create neatly arranged and healthy-looking plants. The flowers are extremely attractive to a wide range of pollinators which is always a bonus to gardeners as well as insects. Furthermore, the seedheads make striking, architectural features when left into the winter months and can even be dried for inclusion in vases and other floral displays. The collection comprises of: - 'Millennium'; green foliage. (60cm x 45cm)- 'Medusa's Hair'; twisted, snaky, grey-green foliage. (60cm x 30cm)- 'Serendipity'; heavily glaucous, blue foliage. (60cm x 45cm)Admirable Allium senescens Collection prefers fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Hardy perennials which require no winter protection.
