Tall elegant spires hold racemes of nodding white hood shaped flowers with purple blue edges during the summer. Perfect for the back of borders, an easy to grow and less fragile alternative to the Delphinium, so perfect for a windy garden. Bees love rummaging in the flowers. Rabbit and deer proof. Prefers moist soil in sun or part shade. Height 100cm (40'). Spread 45cm (18'). Hardy perennial. Take care when handling Aconitum as they are HIGHLY TOXIC. Always wear protective gloves when planting or transferring and take extra caution with open wounds. Do not ingest!
