Tell Me More...
With fine, ferny foliage and flat, umbel-like flower heads, the Achillea Mix of bare roots blends seamlessly with other plants, and is one of our favourite 'fillers' for knitting together a planting scheme. As well as being happy to grow almost anywhere, this obliging, long-flowering perennial tends to self-seed, plugging nearby gaps with little to no effort from the gardener. Popularity among breeders means there is an enduring supply of exciting, new, achillea colours, from the hot and spicy to soft and romantic pastels. These dazzling flowers provide landing platforms for an array of pollinators. Ideal for cottage garden or naturalistic planting styles, as well as wildflower meadows. Sturdy stems and a lengthy vase-life make achillea flowers excellent for cut arrangements. Plants in this Achillea Mix prefer moist, well-drained soil in an open site, tolerant of a range of soils and conditions. Hardy, deciduous perennials.
