Trachelospermum jasminoides is one of the best perfumed plants for your garden. Small wonder it holds the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit for outstanding performance in the garden. An exotic-looking climber, the abundance of highly scented, star-shaped blooms borne from June to August each year. Both foliage and flowers cascade like a waterfall, emitting a sweet, heady, intoxicating perfume. The self-twining stems bear glossy, evergreen foliage which often turns bronze in autumn and red in winter to extend your plant's interest. Trachelospermum jasminoides is perfect grown in a container, in a border and trained up a pergola, obelisk or wall. We recommend you plant it near a window, doorway or seat where you can fully enjoy the clouds of sweet scent. Trachelospermum jasminoides prefers well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. A hardy (evergreen climbing shrub which may need some winter protection if temperatures drop below -5 C.
