A much-loved, dwarf relative of the Iris, Sisyrinchium Iceberg is just as beautiful. An abundance of star-shaped, white blooms with dark purple veins and bright yellow centres are held in clusters above dainty tufts of grassy foliage - throughout summer and into the autumn. Perfect plants for a patio, containers, planted on the edge of a border, or in a rockery, where they will gently spread. Commonly named blue-eyed grass, or Sassy Grass, Sisyrinchium are found growing wild on moist grasslands in South America, although many species are becoming endangered.Sisyrinchium Iceberg is both deer and rabbit resistant, easy to grow and drought tolerant. Not fussy on soil conditions, Iceberg prefers to be grown in sun or part shade, reaching a height of 20cm (8") and spreading between 10-20cm (4-8"). Being a fully hardy perennial, Sisyrinchium Iceberg is sure to give you years of joy with no winter protection required.
