Description

Fluffy, protruding centres make these tall, head-tuners appear as though they are puffing out their chests. Lance-shaped leaves and extraordinary peach blooms with flushes of cream, rose and salmon, add a zesty interest to your borders. Looking particularly brilliant in cottage gardens there is no surprise Zinnia Elegans Zinderella Peach has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Bright and bold, these half-hardy annuals put on a show from July through to October, attracting plenty of your pollinating friends and giving you armfuls of blooms to cut for your home. Preferring a sunny position and a bit of shelter. Plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil and deadhead to prolong the flowering period. You can also collect the seed from these plants to sow for the following year.

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
