Gracefully arching foliage and silky plumes of tassel-like flowers from August to October. Whispering Miscanthus Collection brings height, movement and sensual sound to borders, open ground and even containers. Perfect for prairie style planting, these statuesque and sophisticated grasses are drought tolerant once they have established a good root structure. Flowering stems appear between August and October, transforming into beautiful seedheads which, when left on the plant over winter, offer sustenance to wildlife and extended interest - particularly when frosted. Whispering Miscanthus Collection comprises: AGM holding sinensis 'Morning Light' which reaches a height of up to 1.8m and spreads to 1.2m, another AGM holding variety, sinensis 'Kaskade' with a height of 1.8 and a spread of 1.5m; and sinensis 'Boucle' a shorter variety with a height and spread of 1m. All prefer well-drained soil in full sun and are hardy, deciduous perennials which need no winter protection throughout most of the UK.
