Description

A unique perennial which is sure to capture your imagination and have your neighbours glancing at your garden. Veronica Cristata Mermaids is reminscent of playful mermaids diving headfirst into the crashing waves and doing their best to avoid being seen - you can almost hear the mermaids giggle. Many small, violet-blue blooms are held on stems, creating fascinating column-like flowerheads with flared green crests, blossom all summer long. Veronica Mermaids is much loved by our pollinating friends who will come to join the party. Lasting well in a vase, they are excellent as flowers cut for your home to make intriguing floral creations. Known also as Crested Veronica, and it is easy to see why. Veronica cristata Mermaids prefers to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade, in either borders or containers. A fully hardy perennial to give you years of joy with no winter protection required. Reaching a height of 80cm (24') and spreading to 50cm (16').
