Description

Be amongst the first to grow this amazing plant. The result of years of breeding, we welcome the amazing Verbena bonariensis Lollipop. An identical but much shorter sibling to the much taller, hugely popular and sometimes a little brutish bonariensis, and just perfect for the front or middle of a border in a smaller garden or as a specimen plant in a container. Equally as airy as its older relative, narrow stems with very few leaves hold flat, dense, domed clusters of pink-lilac flowers high above the pest resistant foliage, much to the delight of your local pollinating friends. Excellent as cut flowers for you home in both fresh and dried arrangements. Verbena bonariensis Lollipop prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun. Growing to a height and spread of approximately 60cm (24'), she is a hardy perennial that will grow outside all year round with no winter protection required unless the temperatures get extremely cold.

How hardy are your plants?

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
