Description
Unusual, exciting ground covering blooms which flower successionally from March through to October. Valiant Viola Collection offers cooler blue shades, accompanied by beautiful foliage, which is retained for most, if not all, of the year - adding valuable, weed-suppressing groundcover. Blooms are bedecked with speckles, blotches and dainty streaks to light up your lower planting storey. Flowers are also pollinator friendly and vivacious naturalisers, eager to spread their joy and sweet fragrance throughout the garden. Suitable for baskets, rockeries, pots and open ground. Valiant Viola Collection is made up of sororia 'Freckles' which blooms from March to June and reaches a height of 20cm, spreading to 30cm; hederacea - a trailing, large leaved beauty which flowers from April to October with a height and spread of 30cm; and labradorica ambig. - a mat-forming beauty which blooms from March to May reaching 10cm high with a spread of 30cm. All plants in this collection prefer moist, humus rich, well-drained soil in sun or shade. Hardy, herbaceous perennials with the exception of labradorica ambig. which is a fully hardy evergreen.
